At End Poverty, we prioritise to empower women and help to create more avenues of income for them with a view to increase women’s participation in the mainstream economic development process of the nation. End Poverty motivates women to form EGCC’s so that they can support each other collaboratively by saving money and circulating it wisely. Once women have saved, they are trained to start and run successful village level businesses by providing adequate training and opportunities, often at their doorstep. End Poverty makes continuous efforts to identify new enterprise models by mapping local resources and market demands and mobilising interested and willing candidates to be part of its enterprise program.
End Poverty’s work on women’s economic empowerment is scheduled to establish through its Ever Grace Craft Centre (EGCC) Program. The EGCC program will be launched within one year and is co-designed and adapted by taking frequent feedback from and brainstorming with the participant women, designers, potential markets, institutions in the craft sector, craft sector specialists etc.

As is a widely known fact, the condition of women in Sri Lanka as well the rest of the world personifies pitiful. Not only is it the horrifying numbers that shamefully indicate our high rates of female feticide (Current Sex Ratio of Sri Lanka in 92.12 males per 100 females.) , but also the enormously ignored, dire need of attention towards all round development of girls in Sri Lanka.
Leaving behind the educational and medical front, girls Sri Lanka lag far behind in receiving affection as well. Be it a husband, mother, father, brother or any blood relation, a girl is reprimanded right from birth, till death. Ever Grace Foundation ideology is to make amend by tackling the issue from its very origin- beliefs and situation
Our aim is to level the employment field for disadvantaged women by providing bold livelihoods options thatenhance women’ economic status, dignity, and decision-making within their families.
To achieve this, our Women empowerment programme empowers women with minimal economic and social capital to become self dependents . We help women to secure employment opportunities in partnership others NGO and government body
By helping women acquire non-traditional livelihoods with dignity, we are ultimately developing a cadre of empowered women who become agents of change. These women carry values of inclusion, mutual respect and equality, and democratise the spaces in which they live, whether it’s their family or community.
To ensure the transformation we work towards extends beyond the empowered women and their communities, we influence the government and other stakeholders to make non-traditional livelihood options with dignity universally accessible to women in Sri Lanka. We also advocate for the social concerns being considered in livelihood programmes for women. Through our work we contribute to achieving the goal of economic and social equality for women in Sri Lanka.
Our projects expand opportunities for women through education, entrepreneurship, and vocational training. We provide women the knowledge and skills to earn an income and lift themselves and their families out of poverty, including through scholarships.
In the workplace, we address constraints faced by women entrepreneurs. By providing networking opportunities, mentoring, access to information and credit, and business management training, we foster environments where women can advocate for improved policies.
We work alongside local partners to provide women with vocational training to break into higher-paid employment sectors. ever formal training was possible to the women. The change we see is gradual, yet very real.
Sri Lankan’s male to female ratio is poor yet only about many of them are literate. Closer to one hundred thousan women become victims of various crimes annually, as per reported cases. Further, an estimated for another closer to one hindred thousand of women face mental and physical cruelty.
Although, the legal marriageable age for a girl in Sri Lanka is 18 years, our girl child doesn’t have a say when she is going to be a woman! Sr Lanka prides in having more women as doctors, surgeons, scientists, professors and high rank jobs are more against the develop contries has.
Initiative of Ever Grace Foundation aims to bring pride and dignity for our girl. We focus to enable women to realize their full potential in every sphere, be it home, office or community. This our programme helps in enhancing the skills and information relevant to make them realize their self-esteem.
